Highlight

Directional light in a biocomposite body — the collection that first carried our materials onto the international stage.

Highlight is where our materials first made a name for themselves: pendant lamps with focused, directional light, pressed from hemp, tobacco and grape marc. In 2019 the collection was chosen for the Material of the Year exhibition at the London Design Fair — one of Europe's most-watched stages for new materials.

Each shade is compression-molded from agricultural by-products, so the surface that forms under the press is never quite the same twice. What arrives as a residue becomes a body for light — with its own grain, its own colour, its own past.

The light itself is precise and task-oriented, made for reading, working and dining tables. Around it sits the warm, organic texture of the material — proof that a luminaire can be exact in its function and alive in its surface.

How it's made

Compression Molding

Sheets of bio-based material take shape under heat and pressure. A slow, even force that keeps the character of the raw material visible.
