We make things from what's left.

Highsociety Studio is an Italian design practice. We explore the space where agriculture, biology and material culture meet.

Design meets agriculture.

Founded in South Tyrol, where vineyards meet the Dolomites. Our work starts in the fields — with farmers who trust us to take their waste seriously. We don't buy commodity materials from catalogs. We build relationships with local producers, understand their processes, and design objects around what's actually available.

The result is a collection that changes with the seasons. Some materials are abundant in autumn after harvest. Others peak in spring when breweries ramp up production. This rhythm shapes everything we make — and means every piece has a story rooted in a specific time and place.

Four principles.

Waste is a design choice.
We don't see agricultural by-products as leftovers — we see them as raw material with character. Hemp fibers from textile mills, pomace from wineries, silver skin from roasteries. Each carries the fingerprint of its origin. Our job is to reveal that, not hide it.
Local supply chains, global impact.
Everything we use comes from small producers within 200 km of our studio in South Tyrol. We know our farmers, our brewers, our roasters by name. This isn't just sustainability rhetoric — it's how we ensure every batch of material meets our standards. Short chains mean accountability.
Compostable means compostable.
No greenwashing. Every HIGHLIGHT lamp, every SENILIA shade, every FANOCEL component breaks down completely in industrial composting conditions. No microplastics, no persistent chemicals. When a product reaches end of life, it returns to soil — not landfill. We test this ourselves.
We combine hand-finishing with renewable-energy-powered manufacturing. Each piece is pressed, trimmed, and inspected by hand — but our material formulation and quality control use industrial precision. The result: objects that feel human-made but perform like engineered products.
