About this material
Charcoal has purified and coloured for centuries. In distilleries, activated charcoal is used to filter and refine spirits — and once its work is done and its pores are exhausted, it is normally discarded as a used-up filter medium.
Highsociety Studio reclaims this residue and gives it a second role. Rather than being thrown out after a single use, the charcoal is worked into the material system, its carbon held in place instead of sent to waste.
It brings a deep, mineral-dark aesthetic with a smooth, matte finish — a tone that contrasts powerfully with the warmth of the studio's natural fibre materials.
